Grilled Steak Loaded Fries with Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Crispy fries topped with grilled steak and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce - the ultimate loaded fries recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye New York strip, or sirloin steak (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.5 lbs frozen steak fries or crinkle-cut fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat grill to 450-500°F. Brush steak with oil and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Grill 3-5 minutes per side. Rest 5-10 minutes, then slice against grain.
  • Cook fries according to package directions until golden and crispy (air fryer at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, oven at 425°F for 20-25 minutes, or deep fry at 350°F).
  • In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes. Add cream, bring to gentle simmer. Whisk in Parmesan until melted and thickened, 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Pile fries in cast iron skillet, top with sliced steak, drizzle with garlic Parmesan sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting and flavor
Bring steak to room temperature for even cooking
Serve immediately for best texture contrast
Can substitute waffle fries or steak fries for variation
