Whiskey Habanero Marinated Ribs

These Whiskey Habanero Marinated Ribs are packed with sweet, smoky, and spicy flavor. Baby back ribs are soaked in a whiskey, honey, and habanero marinade, smoked over applewood, and finished with a sticky habanero honey glaze.

Instructions
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Trim the ends and remove any silver skin.
Place the ribs in a large aluminum pan.
Combine the marinade ingredients and pour over the ribs. Cover and refrigerate for 12–24 hours.
Remove the ribs from the marinade and pat dry.
Preheat the smoker to 275°F with applewood.
Coat the ribs lightly with hot sauce and season with pork seasoning.
Place the ribs in the smoker. After 1 hour, begin spritzing with apple cider vinegar.
At about the 2-hour 45-minute mark, prepare the glaze. Combine the glaze ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Simmer for 6–8 minutes, then remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
When the ribs are nearly probe-tender, brush them generously with the glaze.
Continue cooking until the glaze sets and the ribs are tender.
Remove from the smoker and rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
