With the playoffs coming and people getting together, I figured this is the proper time to release my epic Sausage and Chorizo Queso Bread Bowl that will be more memorable than the playoff games themselves! Okay, let’s jump into this awesome recipe!

Sausage and Chorizo Queso Bread Bowl
Ingredients
- 8-10 oz Italian sweet sausage
- 8-10 oz Ground chorizo
- 1 block Cream cheese
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese
- 1 cup Oaxaca cheese
- 1 cup Chihuahua cheese
- 1 can Roasted rotel tomatoes
- 1 4 oz Can of green chilis
- 1 can Sweet corn strained
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Mexican chili powder
- 1 Round sourdough bread bowl
- Tortilla Chips for dipping
Instructions
- Start off by getting all of your ingredients prepped. Also, if you are extra like myself… Fire up your wood burning pizza oven. Now place a cast iron skillet over medium heat and once it’s hot toss in your sausage and brown it. Mix and cook for about 5 mins, place to the side in a bowl. Now add the chorizo and brown it for 5 mins, place in a bowl.
- In a large aluminum pan, or a large oven safe pan, add in 8-10 ounces of the sausage and chorizo with the cream cheese, velveeta cheese, Oaxaca cheese, Chihuahua cheese, roasted rotel tomatoes, green chilies, sweet corn, cumin, garlic powder, oregano and black pepper.
- During this time, take your round bread and core it to make a bread bowl. Remove the quest and fill the bread bowl. Get your heat up to 425 and add the bread bowl into the wood burning pizza oven for about 7-8 mins
- Remove from the oven and have some chips on hand for some of the best queso you have ever had!
- Serve and Enjoy!
